Akarsh K. Hebbar serves as President at Vedanta Group, a global powerhouse in natural resources, power, and energy. Vedanta’s diverse portfolio spans Oil & Gas, Zinc, Lead, Silver, Copper, Iron Ore, Steel, Nickel, Aluminium, Power, and Glass Substrate, with strategic forays into semiconductors and display glass — uniquely bridging traditional and new-age industries.

Akarsh also leads V-Spark DeepTech Ventures, Vedanta’s global corporate innovation and venture platform that accelerates deeptech startups and MSMEs. Through V-Spark, he is driving co-creation between industry and innovators to build scalable, real-world solutions through a PPP model – Pilot, Project, Partner. A passionate advocate for entrepreneurship, he actively mentors emerging founders and is shaping India’s next generation of business leaders.

In addition, Akarsh serves as Managing Director at AvanStrate Inc., a Japan-headquartered pioneer in glass substrates for thin-film transistor (TFT) LCDs, with operations in Taiwan and South Korea.

Akarsh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Mumbai University and an MBA from London Business School. A technology enthusiast at heart, his professional journey includes impactful roles at Oracle, Google, and McKinsey & Company.

Beyond business, Akarsh is the co-founder of YODA, an animal welfare organization; and an avid sports enthusiast who finds balance on the Padel court – Akarsh spearheads the Vedanta Leopards Padel team, which features international players.
